

Sweet Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 Cups Yellow Cornmeal
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2/3 Cups Sugar
- 2 and 1/2 Cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
Directions
Set oven to 400. In a small bowl, combine the milk and the cornmeal and let this sit for about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together and mix in the cornmeal mixture and add the oil and the eggs. Stir this until smooth. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until an inserted knife come out clean (cake test)
