Cheeseburger Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef (Browned and Drained)
  • 2 Cups Potatoes (Peeled and Cubed)
  • 1/2 Cup Celery (Chopped)
  • 1/4 Cup Onion (Chopped)
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Peppers (Chopped)
  • 1 Tablespoon Beef Bouillon Granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 and 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Directions

In a 3 quart pot add the hamburger, potatoes, celery, onion, green peppers, beef granules, salt and ½ cup of water. Cover and cook until the vegetables are tender (about 20 minutes). Blend 1/2 cup of milk with the flour and add to the pot along with the remaining milk and Cook and stir until thick and bubbly and then add the cheese; Heat and stir just until the cheese melts and then garnish with more cheese if desired
